Top 10 Confessed That He Almost Lost His Genitals From Surgery
Holding On: 10 Celebrities Who Fought For Their Most Vital Parts
We often see celebrities at their best: adorned in designer clothes, radiating confidence on stage, and living seemingly perfect lives. But behind the glamor, real struggles exist. This article takes a look at 10 celebrities who bravely shared their health journeys, revealing the terrifying ordeal of facing potential genital loss after surgery. These stories remind us that even the most famous faces are vulnerable and their experiences carry a powerful message of resilience.
At the ATP 250 in Stockholm, one of the players who showed the best level of tennis was the Swiss Stan Wawrinka, who at 39 years of age gave himself the toupee to beat a Top 10 player as a Andrey Rublev (7th). The Muscovite, before the 7-6 and 7-6 defeat against the three-time Grand Slam champion, left an unusual confession that, despite the laughter, caught the attention of all tennis fans.
Rublev revealed what he experienced after the last Grand Slam of the year, the US Open, where he lost to Grigor Dimitrov in the round of 16. “Now I feel perfect, everything went well,” he said of the operation he later underwent.
“I don’t know how to say it in a clever way, let’s say it in a funny way. I almost lost a testicle. I’m very lucky because they say you only have 5 or 6 hours if the blood stops circulating there and then they have to amputate.”

In addition, he added: “I don’t know why I said ‘let’s go to the hospital to see because I have a strange feeling’. As soon as they checked it, they rushed me in for surgery. I had surgery in three or four hours. Everything went well. The last thing I did before when I was falling asleep was sign a paper in which I allowed my testicle to be amputated. So that was the last thing I saw before the operation.”
Finally, the Russian was saved from the amputation of his testicle and managed to recover quickly, to the point that he competed in Beijing, in one of the first tournaments of the indoor tour. He has not accumulated good results since then, but this Monday he will debut against the Portuguese Nuno Borges at the ATP 500 in Basel and will try to leave the big scare behind.
